Professor Astroza was the recipient of the Best Researcher Award of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences of the Universidad de los Andes.

This award is given every other year and recognizes one faculty member for outstanding research accomplishment and for his/her contribution to the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
